The 6.8L six-cylinder engine is offered as either a propulsion or gen drive engine in either keel cooled or heat exchanger configurations. The engines are either turbocharged, non-aftercooled, turbocharged with jacket water aftercooling or turbocharged with sea water aftercooling. The propulsion engines feature constant power to 400 rpm below rated speed, making these engines an excellent choice for launches, work boats, trawler yachts, and patrol craft.

A Barracuda that is serviced regularly is almost indestructible and has the power and performance of a 230hp gasoline V8. Engines are standard equipped with freshwater cooling.
We can deliver all our engines as a compleat engine/sterndrive Mercruiser X diesel package, that includes all hydraulics, extension harness, instrumentpanel, bellhousing, coupler, engine mounts, ownersmanual, etc.

This dynamic engine is perfect for the medium performance pleasure boats and has all the benefits of it’s big brother in the Hammerhead series – but at a lower cost. All Stingray engines are fitted with the high performance Stanadyne Marine DB-series mechanical fuel injection pump. Engines are standard equipped with freshwater cooling.
