Marine doors and hatches are small items, but they play a vital role as a pilot entrances, bunker entrances, quick embarkation & disembarkation, etc. They protect men and ships in emergency conditions such as fires and flooding. Recently the technical specifications have become more complicated, while doors are part of comprehensive process, from operation and installation.

On every standard hatch are mounted, according to features of the hatch, one, two or four opening systems complete of handles. The opening systems can be supplied made of aluminium (Art. 062B) or of stainless steel (Art. 062C). These opening systems allow the hatch opening from outside with a winch handle or Solimar handle (Art. 062/M) and from the inside with handle (Art. 062D or 062DX). It is possible to have the opening systems from the outside and from inside, only from outside or only from inside. On the “escape” hatches, there is a fixed low profile safety handle for the opening from outside (Art. 062T). Solimar produces also stainless steel opening for peaks (Art. 062). All our opening systems can be adjusted in the height and they can be fitted on all kind of hatches. Solimar studied also some security systems for locking the hatch opening. The red gate is flipped up by hand to keep the rope out of the alloy cleat and prevent unintentional entry of the rope into the cleat.
The CL237 is a modified CL201.
