We apply the lessons learned at the grand prix end of the spectrum to create superb high performing consistent production rigs. Southern Spars One Design is committed to producing high performance carbon rigs with an emphasis on value for money - spending money where it counts. The experience from 15 years of building the most successful custom carbon rigs in the world is being used in the manufacture and design of production One Design rigs.

A hydraulic boom vang from Holmatro provides maximum boom control while sailing and when moored. It makes reefing and flaking of your mainsail easy as it also acts as a topping lift. A variety of control panels are available for easy adjustment. In combination with our quick release the vang can be dumped instantly. Advanced design techniques and materials keep weight to a minimum.
HVG-12 Boomvang
A hydraulic boom vang will provide maximum control over your boom during sailing and makes reefing and flaking of your mainsail easy as it also acts as a topping lift. The Holmatro® boom vang combines power and ease of use with a high return force. The oil passage through the piston rod reduces the length of the hydraulic hose and therefore the risk of damage. In combination with our push button quick release you can dump the vang instantaneously.

A Seldén Rodkicker facilitates sail handling when reefing, preventing the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coach roof. When fitted with a Seldén fas spring, it lifts the boom when the kicking strap is released.
Excellent for trimming the main in light air. The Seldén Rodkicker also doubles the purchase of your kicking strap.

Bamar hydraulic vang is safe and easy to use.
Vang cylinders are equipped with an air-pressure piston rod release charged with a “pneumatic” pump located on the cylinder’s body, near to the vang terminal on the boom-side.
Air pressure should be regulated depending on the release speed you wish, and on the thrust needed to contrast the weight of the boom.
Pressure has to be charged at 713-785 psi (50-55 bar).
IMPORTANT: all VANG cylinders may be used with double effect function (push-pull)

Hall Spars & Rigging introduced the original QuikVang in 1986. The QuikVang is a mechanical van that relies on the simplicity of an inner stainless steel spring and external purchase. More than 20 years later, the original vang is the standard by which all mechanical vangs are measured.

The motoryachts will use the same Nordia brand name as the sailing yachts, a label used exclusively for yachts designed and built in the Van Dam shipyard in Holland.
The new range consists of a 22, 26 and 30-metre semi-displacement hull design, to be constructed in high-grade marine aluminium. There are two different designs available, one that breathes pure luxury (LX) and a design with a classy and sporty emphasis (GT). The interiors will be entirely custom designed to match the owners' specific requirements.
