Tides Marine manufactures a wide variety of rudder bearings, rudder sleeves, rudder tubes and rudder ports (with and without seals). This product line provides builders, engineers, naval architects and repair facilities with solutions to most any problem they may encounter.
Most of these Rudder Bearing products are precision-machined from UHMW-PE, an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. UHMW is extremely durable, abrasion resistant and does not absorb water. It's coefficient of friction (when water-lubricated) approximates that of Teflon in these bearing products.
Tides Marine rudder bearings carry American Bureau of Shipping and Lloyds Register Type Approval.

The 41000 series Jefa rudder bearings are the first type of roller bearings that were produced by Jefa marine. In the past 20 years more than 10.000 of these bearings have been produced. This bearing is typically suitable for GRP or wood core cruising yachts where a light revolving and backlash free rudder system is required that will not be stretched to the limits as on racing yachts.
|
|
These rubber lined bearings are specially designed for water lubricated sterntubes and rudder stocks. The nitrile rubber bearing material gives the bearing a high resistance to abrasion and wear whilst providing effective noise and vibration insulation.
The bearing's outer shell is manufactured from either corrosion resistant naval brass or non-metallic material. The non-metallic shell has the advantage of being lighter and it prevents electrolytic corrosion. Non-standard sizes and flange bearings are available on request.

RUDDER BEARINGS AND ACCESSORIES
ACC Marine provides Accurate bearings in a self-adjusting standard sleeve type, self-adjusting roller or plain roller.
All bearings are manufactured from corrossion resistant materials and feature non-metallic rollers. Bearings and shaft seals are removeable for service and maintenance.
We supply rudder shaft accessories such as shaft seals, flanged bearings, bearing races, bearing housing tubes and tiller plugs.
We also offer a line of replacement bearings that will retrofit systems using Harken bearings.

Clementsmarine use a high precision, proprietry range of water lubricated marine rubber bearings, commonly known as Cutless Bearings. These have proven suitable and hard wearing for all applications in our range of products.
The exceptional properties of nitrile rubber as a bearing material, combined with the high performance of the hydrodynamic water wedge design, make this product the automatic choice for reliable and maintenance free operation.

We have a vast range of water lubricated bearings for shafts in centimeters and inches with an exterior sheath in bronze or resin up to a shaft diameter of 205 mm. Water lubricant in addition to being economical, is constantly available and allow us to reduce attrition at low rpm and assure maximum durability. Remember that all models up to a diameter of 125 mm are available in stock.

The operational efficiency of a machine or plant is determined by, above all, the bearing quality at all rotating components. This applies in particular to the line-shafting of ship propulsion plants. The Simplex bearings were developed especially for this purpose as short, plain bearings. More than 21,000 have left our works to date.
Simplex bearings are characterized by a short shell length. Moreover, they can be precisely aligned to avoid edge loading. The running properties of the bearing metal have been optimized with a technically highly advanced bonding of bearing metal and shell. The vital lubrication of the bearing is safeguarded in the Simplex bearing at all times, even at low shaft speeds. Temperature sensing and monitoring systems are also supplied. Cooling systems are available for unfavourable operating conditions.

Iris 50
• Good protection against hard knocks: the smooth finish feels soft in your hand, and it will notslip, even if it is wet.
• Outstanding legibility of the card, with one-degreegraduations.
• No parallax error: a prism projects the reading of the bearingto infinity. This also contributes to a more comfortable operation, as you do not need to alternate close-reading to read the card andinfinite-reading to take bearings.
• Optimum conditions to take bearings, thanks to thesuperb card stability and the wide 20°field of view, which willaccommodate the roughest sea conditions.
• Most accurate bearing: the pivot and very hard stone are a guarantee of long life and shock resistance of your compass.
• Soft bottom cell: engineered using ultra-sonic welding, it actslike an expansion diaphragm, preventing the formation of bubblesand leaks.
• Built-in photoluminescent lighting, completely maintenance-free, impervious to corrosion, operates without batteries or radio-active tritium.
• Course reading from above the compass: you can read your compass like a standard compass, with no need to lookthrough the prism.
Graduation: every 1°. Field of view: 20°. Clearance: ±12°. Built-in photoluminescentlighting. Red lubber lines. Weight: 105g.

Using these precision marine hand bearing compasses, you can easily obtain quick magnetic bearings on shore or floating objects. Obtain a bearing simply by aligning front and rear sights on an object and reading off bearing. Uses include quick bearing or position set, determination of angular gain or loss on the competition while racing, checking distance offshore, establishing lee-bow set while cruising or racing in currents, drift vectoring and plotting a line of position

The new mainsheet and genoa system in Rutgersons Transatlantic series increases the durability of some of the most exposed parts of a yachts equipment.
Good functionality and good design go hand in hand, and this is certainly true of Rutgerson Transatlantic series. The unique construction has also made it possible to reduce the size of the equipment drastically - which has a whole range of benefits, not least a reduced risk of injury to the crew.

SELF-BEARING GANGWAY - FUNCTIONALITY WITHOUT BARRIERS
The Martini Marinas self-bearing gangway represents an authentic innovation regarding the traditional gangways: it eliminates any architectural barrier that inhibits access to the handicapped, making easy the passage from the pontoon to the dock and vice versa.
The gangway is fixed to the dock by a special steel base having a device allowing both horizontal and vertical rotations. The connection to the pontoon is made by two joint knees, analogous to those used for the floating modules. The gangway has the same width of the pontoon. The result is a continuous communication between the water and the dock, no steps along the dunnage, perfect for the transport of heavy materials on cart up to the boat. The Martini Marinas self-bearing gangway is an innovative solution that also in conditions of strong backwash grants the constant connection between land and pontoons.
