There%u2019s no question that the use of articulated pipe systems for marine loading and marine unloading bulk liquid cargo from barges and small ships is the better way to complete the task.
%u2022 Faster and more economical: one person can do the work of two or more in a fraction of the time and, in turn, for a fraction of the cost
%u2022 Safer: the potential for injury and all its costs is reduced to its lowest when partial or full automation replaces brute strength
%u2022 More environmentally responsible: no more risk of burst hoses or leaks and spills caused when hoses %u201Cget away%u201D from their handlers
No wonder so many companies have adopted marine loading arms, often more than 20 years ago%u2014and why many more are realizing these advantages every day. It%u2019s also no wonder there is increasing pressure by port authorities and other government agencies to adopt the faster, safer, cleaner alternative to wrestling with flexible hoses%u2014Carbis marine loading arms addresses these issues!
Recently, however, the only sources for marine loading arms have been offshore manufacturers. And, in light of recent events, their ability to overcome unfavorable exchange rates, huge distances, and other challenges, have left the market hungry for a domestic source.
Today, Carbis is that U.S. source%u2014for marine loading arms that feature superior design and quality construction, as well as the rapid and dependable service and support that domestic shippers have been missing.

MLA 260
The MLA260 series is the most efficient range of marine loading arms on the market, due to the slim design and the availability of a number of design options to ensure that specific site requirements are met in the best possible way.
The MLA260 can be used with virtually all liquids and gases that are capable of being transferred through pipes. The use of a unique double inboard arm has resulted in the smallest design footprint possible whilst ensuring that the loads encountered at the MLA260 base plate are the lowest when compared with any other type of arm.
The MLA260 model can be configured with more than one fully separated, self-supporting product lines, which are designed to absorb all possible forces associated with structural mass, fluid weight, pressure load and wind load.
Full balance of the loading arm is provided by means of a rigid pantograph link, which connects the outboard arm to the rotating counterweight. Special care has been given to the rotating pivots of the pantograph bar both in design and in material selection thus assuring smooth operation with minimum maintenance. Four different executions are available

Marine Loading Arms
Woodfield Systems can offer the full range of both ambient and cryogenic marine loading arms.
The loading arm is fully balanced in all positions with two independent counterweight systems. It is a self-support structure%uFF0Cthe pipeline and the swivel joint endure not only the pressure from the media but also the gravity and the overturn moment of all load.
It is usually used on the river wharf and the small tanker.
The "BARCA" marine loader is the most simplified loading arm in our production programme.
It is very light in manipulation and very easy to install.
The "MINERVA" is our most common model, the pipe construction is self supporting.
If necessary, this loading arm can also be hydraulically operated and equipped with a vapour return line.
RC%uFF08Rotation Counterweight%uFF09manual marine loading arm
this is a typical rotary counterweight marine loading arm, all the vertical load and overturn moment should be supported by the base riser and supporting device, to make the pipeline and the swivel joints be free in theory, the balance system consists of a pantograph for transmitting balancing loads from the outboard arm to the secondary counterweight. It is manoeuvred only by one operator .It is easy operating and lower cost for various liquid loading/unloading
Our heavy duty model "ATLANTA" has a separate supporting structure and is mostly hydraulically operated.
This type of loading arm is very often equipped with an "Emergency Release System", with an automatic product cut off in case of danger.
Alarms can be installed to prevent that the loading arm is working outside his operating envelope.

Cryogenic loading arm is a new kind of marine loading arm which is used for conveying some cryogenic media such as LNG, ethylene. To select different materials for the main pipeline according to different temperature of products. The supporting structure of the arm is designed specially to prevent it from contacting the cryogenic pipeline, and to avoid the material performance changing in the condition of cryogenic temperature, such as cold shortness. the swivel joint-the key part of the loading arm is also designed specially to make the whole six pieces of swivel joint can be cycled by Nitrogen gas, in this case, it can put the vapor out of the swivel joint to avoid icing in the race way of swivel joint and protect the race way from being broken.
This type loading arm consists of two parts: the marine loading arm connected with vessel and the land loading arm connected with the local pipeline. It can make the loading arm work movably, to ensure all loading facilities can leave the site timely after loading or unloading, and hence to save enough space to do other work; all the power to operate the loading arm is supplied by the veghicle motot, the operaor only need to start-up the motor of the vehicle, then the loading arm can be operated with a remote controller, so it can be connected or disconnected with vessel or site pipeline easily.
