This is a standard marine generator driven by a diesel engine or steam turbine, and features a full line-up of models to suit conditions of use in different types of ship, from small fishing boats to large merchant ships. Model:FB, FE, FEK, FPK, FEW and FPW are available, depending on the protection degree, types of bearing, method of lubrication, etc.

The electronic voltage control provides a high voltage precision and an excellent dynamic operating behaviour. The generators can be used all-purposely in transportable or fixed land installations, for the supply of on board wiring by Diesel and Power Take Off generators in single operation and, regarding to parallel operation with other generators or with rigid networks. Other fields of application are wind- and hydro- power plants, emergency power supply for telecommunication installations with special regulations, block heating power station installations, and converters for uncoupling mains or for frequency inversion and Uninterrupted Power Supply installations.

A Mastervolt alternator is easily the most economic way to generate on board (charge) capacity. Having an alternator on board is an excellent alternative to an AC diesel, AC petrol or DC generator, but your standard alternator will not suffice. The specially designed Mastervolt Alpha alternator is ideally suited for use as a powerful second alternator, allowing you to rapidly finish charging and turn the engines off when moored. You will be surprised how economic it will be!
The Mastervolt Alternator Alpha 12/90 produces direct current (DC) for your 12V on board system to charge batteries (starter, service or bowthruster) fast and complete through its three-stage charge characteristic. This alternator can be installed on any engine type and can be mounted in three different positions. A charge regulator Alpha Pro (12V) (three-stage) is included and achieves maximum yield from minimum engine hours. A loss in voltage due to wiring and/or battery isolator is automatically compensated for.
