Split heat pumps systems are available in the range 8.000 - 24.000 btu/h. Condensing and evaporating units are separated and are joined during installation by refrigerating gas copper insulated pipes. Maximum distance along the pipes between the two units is 6 mt. This solution is suggested when you don't want the compressor to work for noise reasons in the cabine to condition. All systems are condensed by sea water circulated by mean of magnetic drive or self priming pumps. Evaporating fan coil section captures air through an air inlet and distributes conditioned air through flexible ducts to small air outelts intalled on cabine furnitures. Such systems are suggested for boats below 45' and ideal to be installed during boat building or during boat restoration. The split controller is available both in remote control or wall thermostatic versions. A wide range of air distribution accessories is available to personalize the installation. The assembly can be done also with the boat in sea by a medium skilled board frigorist.

The hydraulic driven chiller unit is a system which can be placed in the engine room. This chiller unit is equipped with a hydraulic driven cool compressor, circulation pump and sea water pump (intergrated). The system is driven by a hydraulic installation (mostly already present on board) and a battery supply of 24VDC. This chiller unit supplies a tubing circuit through the boat with cold water (glycol).
This fluid flows through the fan coil units (through which air is flowing at the same time) and as a result it cools the surrounding areas. This system can cool any given area, which have to function at the same time, results in the total capacity of the HC chiller unit.
In order to install the entire unit any cool-technical know-how is not required. A complete chiller system consists of the HC chiller unit, fan coil units and thermostats.

QUICK, QUIET COOLING IN HOT WEATHER.
WARMTH IN COLD WEATHER.
Enjoy the luxury of a cool comfortable cabin in your boat even on the hottest summer day. Instant air conditioning at your fingertips – at a very affordable price. An added feature, the Westerbeke Marine Climate Control System also allows you to warm the cabin with a push of a button. Perfect for warming a cabin on cool nights, or for those extreme spring/autumn temperature changes.
The Westerbeke Marine Climate Control System also acts as a very efficient dehumidifier; it can be set to automatically remove excess humidity from the cabin even when the boat is left closed up for long periods of time, eliminating the oppressive stickiness and damp mustiness common on boats.

The Elite™ Environmental Control Unit is a microprocessor based controller designed for the precise monitoring of split and self-contained direct expansion air conditioning systems in marine environments.
The control can also be used with chilled water air handlers and is called AH-Elite in that application. The Elite control has a sleek, modern Euro design. Available in grey or white, it features raised buttons for easy access and control. Decorative snap-on Vimar® bezels are available in Rondo and Classica styles, and a variety of colors and materials to match your vessel’s interior. Other Vimar bezel styles are available by special order.
The Elite display operates with the new Passport ®I/O circuit board. This new circuit board utilizes state-of-the-art SMT technology. The Elite display is flash programmable, which will allow for future software upgrades without the need to replace the circuit board.
*Automatic humidity control – reduces moisture when the boat is unattended
*Multiple fan speed selections – automatic or three manual speeds
*Blank display lights when desired – keep cabin dark at night
*“Pump Sentry” protects system if seawater pump fails. Heater relay allows for optional electric heat

The Tempered Water Logic Control (TWLC) is an advanced, microprocessor-based controller that provides precise monitoring and coordination for up to 6 chiller stages. All cooling, heating, and safety functions are controlled, as well as features such as automatic temperature staging, switching of lead unit to equalize run times, and hour meter for each compressor. The LCD display supplies the user with important system information through an easy, menu-driven interface.
In the TWLC system, a dedicated power/logic board connects to each chiller, and the boards are networked together to form an integrated system. This design ensures that a single board or network failure will not shut down the entire system. The power/logic board has LEDs to help with system monitoring and troubleshooting, and a replaceable EPROM for future software upgrades.
*Diagnostic faults include refrigerant high and low pressure, flow switch, low voltage, freeze warning, and high temperature limit. Special software sub-routines reduce nuisance faults
*Automatic control of both seawater and circulation pumps
*The user interface has a 4-button control and a 4-line backlit LCD display
*Power/Logic board is protected against static interference and RF noise, and conformal coated for corrosion resistance
*Connect to an on-board computer or modem for remote monitoring and control
*Single-unit TWLC panels are often used on smaller boats or retrofits.
*Multi-unit panels are custom built for each system with circuit breakers and contactors for up to six chillers, and the circulation and seawater pumps

Marine Air electromechanical switch assemblies provide reliable control over basic Direct Expansion air conditioning functions, both self-contained and central. This type of switch is not used with Chilled Water systems except as a change-over stat.
The standard design is an aluminum plate covered by a modern black plastic overlay with text and graphical representations of the various functions. Vertical and horizontal versions are available.
The MCP controls are 3 knob assemblies that control system mode, thermostat, and fan speed. The switch for remote condensing units has a 3-foot (.9 m) wire harness with a color-coded terminal strip. The switch for Vector self-contained units has a 6-pin plug instead of a terminal strip. Additional models are available, please see below.
*Both 115V and 230V controls are available.
*The System Mode switch enables operator to start blower before running compressor.
*The Fan Speed switch adjusts the fan from low to high.
*Cabin temperature is simply set with a click of the Thermostat.
*One model adds a fourth knob that switches from reverse cycle to auxiliary heat.
*One model provides only a single knob to control Fan Speed on slave units.

The Passport ®I/O Environmental Control Unit is a microprocessor based controller designed for the precise monitoring of split and self-contained, direct expansion air conditioning systems in marine environments. The control can also be used with chilled water air handlers and is called AH-Passport I/O in that application. The control operates at 115 or 230 volts, each operable at 50 or 60 cycles. Displays are available in black, white or silver. The assembly has a ground shield to protect against static interference and RF noise. The circuit board is conformally coated to provide high resistance to external damage or corrosion.
The Passport I/O circuit board utilizes state-of-the-art SMT technology. Internal self-diagnostic programs provide complete electronic checks of all lights, sensors, keys and circuits.
*Automatic humidity control – reduces moisture when the boat is unattended.
*Multiple fan speed selections – automatic or six manual speeds.
*Calibration of fan speed settings and temperature display to maintain precise control.
*Lexan face plate has tactile switches with universal symbols for ease of use and international recognition.
*Easy connections using phone-type modular jacks which are shielded and grounded.

Hydronic centralized units HCU with no limit of capacity belong to Hydronic centralized systems (HCS). Systems above 60.000 btu/h are three-phase supplied. Centralized hydronics units sea water condensed circulate fresh water in a fan coils net for the distribution of heat and cold into the cabins.
Two models are available:
1) HCU single with off board only the electric box
2) PHCU preassembled of slightly bigger dimensions but including in a monobloc all fan coils net accessories such as the circulation pump, the expansion tank, the filling kit with manometer, the electric box, allowing so a cut of installation costs for boat yards.
